Fun And Inexpensive Things To Do This Weekend

From Monday morning most of us are already looking forward to the weekend. As the days pass by and the weekend gets closer the excitement begins to build up and up. But how many times have you been in that situation where the weekend begins and you are completely stumped for ideas. Payday seems far away and you suddenly start to panic and think “ How am I ever going to have a good weekend when I have no money?” Well there is no need to start freaking out there are plenty of things you can do in order to have a fun and inexpensive weekend.

Here are a few suggestions.

Go Camping
Camping is a brilliant thing to do on any weekend. You can spend the day walking or exploring and get some fresh air whilst you're doing it, which is probably much needed if you have been at work or studying all week. Camping is a great way to clear your head as well and escape from all the hassles of everyday life. The change of scenery is bound to do you some good and you can work towards becoming a master of cooking over a gas stove.
Attend an art gallery of a free event
Art galleries are always hosting free events or events with suggested donations. Find out if there are any going on in your local area and give them a go. A plus to art gallery events is that sometimes they even supply you with a bit of food and wine.
Don’t just stick to looking for art gallery events. If you do a little research you may find that there are plenty of other free or cheap events taking place in your area. Always give them a try, if they are bad you needn't go again.
Host a party
I know what you are thinking, parties are expensive to hold and require a lot of planning. But this isn’t correct, all you have to do is a host a party where the people that attend bring their own food and drink. This will lead to a really good night and the only thing you will have to do is invite some people and have a little tidy up in the morning.
Have a film marathon
Film marathons or ‘movie marathons’ aren’t just for young children and reserved specifically for teenage sleepovers, they can be fun for all age groups. All you have to do is dig out your DVD collection and you will more than likely find some real film gems.
If you don’t have your own collection you can borrow them from a local DVD rental store or ask around your friendship group to see if they have any good films.
