A smart TV comes with its own operating system that can often be customized with apps. You can connect to Facebook, other social networks, as well as video streaming sites to watch videos on-demand. This type of customized web TV might be a quick way to access your favorite internet content, but it's not the cheapest (or necessarily the best) way to get internet content to your television.
