Winter Solstice celebrates the "rebirth of the sun," this marks the shortest day and the promise of longer days ahead. Christmas and Yule, are tied to this. Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year, often celebrated with fire and light rituals. Many cultures have festivals tied to the harvest, marking a successful growing season. Spring festivals like Beltane and Holi celebrate fertility, growth, and the return of life.
